Return to Roanoke- May 25!

Posted on Friday, May 22, 2020

We're excited to welcome you back to our Roanoke studio on Monday, May 25! As we mentioned in our previous announcement, we have decided not to re-open our Huntington studio. We are sad to leave that space and our friends at Cardinal Family Medicine. Still, we are looking forward to having the energy of our community all under one roof! As we begin to come together again, know that yours, and our instructors' health, safety, and comfort, are essential. To honor this, we are taking a phase-in approach as we ramp up to whatever the "new normal" turns out to be. There are still many unknowns, so we ask for some grace as we learn and course-correct as needed.

Schedule:Our new schedule is online now with a mix of online and studio classes. Some studio classes are also available online at the same time, so be sure to note your selection when registering. We plan on adding more studio classes in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!

Registration: You will need to pre-register for classes at least 2-hours before start time via our website or MINDBODY app. Unfortunately, we will not be able to accept walk-ins for the foreseeable future.

Class Size: Class size is limited to 10 people. We will also take this opportunity to incorporate a class minimum of 4 people to help us save resources. Notifications of any class changes will be announced 2 hours before class.

Cancellations:Please be considerate when you need to cancel a class so we can offer the space to someone on a waitlist. We will charge a "no-show" fee of $15 or a class equivalent for those registered who do not attend or cancel. You can view all of the details on our new cancellation policy HERE

Waivers: Each person will need to fill out and sign a new and updated waiver.

Props: We will only allow personal yoga mats in the studio, and they must be taken home after each class. We will no longer be able to store mats. Props (blankets, bolsters, straps) are not allowed at this time. Blocks can still be used and wiped down after class.

Masks: We will require masks to be worn upon entering and exiting the studio and in common areas before and after class. They are recommended, but not required while on your mat during yoga practice.

Cleanliness: We will have hand sanitizer and wipes available, and we ask that you sanitize/wash hands before and after class. We ask that you do not bring your cell phone into the main studio during practice to refrain from touching your phone after you sanitize your hands.

Physical Distancing:  Indicators are marked on the floor to show where your mat needs to lay to allow six-feet between mats on all sides. Please be courteous and maintain physical distancing before and after class. As much as we hate to say it, no hugs at this time.

Health: Do not come to the studio if you are sick or don't feel well (including allergies).

We understand that not everyone will feel comfortable returning to the studio environment immediately. Remember that online classes are still available!

We appreciate all of you more than you know, and we can't wait to see you!

Valerie, Maggie, and all of the instructors at Powers of One
